Bimokids covers the first seven years. What to do, and what's worth buying.
We built it because sorting by product category never matched how the problem actually arrives. It doesn't arrive as "toys" or "sleep products." It arrives as a rainy Tuesday with four hours to fill, a birthday next week, a two-year-old who won't settle, a first day of school on Monday.
So that's how this is sorted. By the situation you're in.
Everything we recommend falls into one of two categories, and we never blur them.
We've owned it and lived with it, long enough to have a real opinion. We say how long, and at what age.
We haven't used it. We've researched it against the alternatives and it's what we'd pick. We say why, and what we'd want to know before buying.
Anything that fits neither doesn't go on the site. That rules a lot out, which is the point. We also publish what to skip, because a list that only ever recommends is a catalog, not a guide.

Ages 0 to 6
Qualified in early childhood care and education, and coming up on five years working in a daycare and nursery setting. Her day-to-day group is two to seven, the same range this site covers, and she also supports older children who need additional care.

Research & comparisons
Fifteen years of professional research work, applied here to one job: take a category, work out what genuinely separates the options, and identify which claims hold up under checking and which are marketing.
More about Andy →Most parenting advice comes from someone who has watched two or three children grow up. Anita sees a much wider spread of how development actually goes, including the children who take a different route. It's the difference between knowing what's normal and knowing how wide normal is.
What we don't do
Some links on this site earn us a commission if you buy through them. It costs you nothing extra.
That's it. That's the whole model. It has never changed a recommendation and it never will. If it wouldn't go to our own daughters, it doesn't go on the list.
If something here worked, or didn't, we'd like to know. Tell us and we'll update the page. contact@bimokids.com
