Anita

Ages 0 to 6  ·  Play, sleep, feeding, routines, early learning

Qualification
Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education. Covers child development, health and nutrition, and early learning from birth through six.
Working experience
Almost five years in a daycare and nursery setting, and still there. Day-to-day group is two to seven, the same range this site covers. Also supports older children who need additional care.
At home
Three daughters, currently two, six and ten.

Anita writes everything on this site covering the first six years.

The part that matters most isn't the qualification on its own. Most parenting advice is written by someone who has watched two or three children grow up. She sees a much wider spread of how development actually goes, including the children who take a different route. It's the difference between knowing what's normal and knowing how wide normal is.

The qualification explains why an approach works. Three daughters explain why it sometimes doesn't. The job is where she finds out how many other children it works for.

The baby years, nought to two, come from home rather than work.
